Travellers discovering Barcelona by bicycle in a sustainable and conscious way

Why Llaura exists

In 2025, Barcelona received more than 26 million visitors. Year after year, the city consolidates its position as one of the most visited destinations in the world. Its culture, heritage, climate and Mediterranean lifestyle make it an especially attractive place to discover.

At the same time, the way people travel has also changed. Today it is more accessible, but also faster and more standardised: predefined routes, must-see places, compressed experiences designed to be consumed in little time.

In this process, Barcelona and many other cities have begun to lose something hard to define but easy to feel: their own rhythm, their everyday life, their identity, and a respectful, unhurried and conscious gaze from the visitor who truly wants to know the city.

Llaura was born from that reflection.

What if travelling were not about consuming a place, but about weaving bonds with those who inhabit it?

At Llaura we create experiences in Barcelona that connect travellers with residents, collectives, associations and projects that activate the true fabric of the city

We propose something simple but transformative: creating spaces to listen, share and understand what lies behind each natural space, each neighbourhood, each story and each initiative.

Every experience is carefully designed to generate a positive impact in both directions — for those who enjoy it and for those who make it possible. That is why a significant part of its price goes directly to local projects, contributing to the local economy and its fabric, in a fully independent way and respecting their own interests and needs.

We work with small groups and thoughtful timings, fostering close connections and fair compensation at every stage of the process.

We are inspired by the principles of regenerative tourism: a way of travelling that seeks not only to reduce impact, but to generate real benefit for people and places.

To enjoy the best fruits of a land, you must cultivate it. To do so, you must know it, care for it and give it its time. Welcome to Llaura. Welcome to Barcelona.
